Kings XI Punjab faced the first defeat of the tournament from the underdogs, Mumbai Indians, and that was the sixth game for both teams in the IPL 2014. MI started gathering their points from that match and will try to keep up the scenario in their coming encounter at their home ground against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The latter has played six won three, they lost an even number of matches and are currently placed at no.4 position on the table.
Gautam, Rohit Sharma, Corey Anderson and Kieron Pollard were their main batsmen who were instrumental in their win vs. KXIP. Lasith Malinga is their leading bowler while Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan are improving.
AB de Villiers was the ‘Player of the match’ with a classic unbeaten burst of 89 for RCB in their last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Virat Kohli is required badly to score runs for his team whereas Yuvraj Singh and Parthiv Patel are assisting nicely with the willow.
