Ram Slam T20 Challenge 2014/15 | ||
Dolphins |
vs | Warriors |
ScheduleWednesday, 5 November 2014 at 16:00 GMT / 16:00 UK / 21:30 IST VenueKingsmead, Durban |
The Ram Slam T20 Challenge, 2014-15, took off with unpredictable results when the top ranked team of the previous year, Dolphins, was let down by the bottom line unit, Lions, with a difference of six wickets. Knights displayed fine cricket in another game and defeated Warriors by a hefty margin of 74 runs. Dolphins will take over the latter in the fourth game of the tournament and both of them will anticipate their maiden points.
Dolphins will miss the services of Kyle Abbott, Imran Tahir, Ryan McLaren and David Miller since they are representing South Africa against Australia. Cody Chetty along with Vaughn van Jaarsveld scored 68 and 40 runs vs. Lions and Prenelan Subrayen managed 26 while their openers and middle order batsmen should reassess their weakness for the remaining matches. Daryn Dupavillion, Craig Alexander, Subrayen and Robbie Frylinck should add more spices to their bowling.
Wayne Parnell has been selected for the tour of Australia and his absence will count for Warriors. Craig Kieswetter was the only batsman who registered a fifty in the previous match whereas no other was able to touch the twenty runs mark. JJ Smuts, Colin Ingram, Ryan Bailey and Somila Seyibokwe will have the pressure of contributing more with the willow. Smuts was the top wicket taker with two while their regular bowlers including Andrew Birch, Ayabulela Gqamane and Lundi Mbane can get back their rhythm.
Wednesday, November 5, 2014 @ 16:00 GMT, 18:00 local at Kingsmead, Durban.
Chances of rain with the temperatures around 17-24ᵒC.
Dolphins can change their tactics as compared to their first game and may chase while Warriors will opt to field first as well.
An ideal wicket for the shortest version of the game.
