The Black Caps did not look back after defeating the Carribeans 2-1in the longest version of the game and won the first T20 quite convincingly. The tourists were in command of the game from the word go and they are capable of winning the two match series. The Windies will do their best to square the series but they have to demonstrate positive cricket in the second T20.

Players to watch

Andre Fletcher scored a fifty for the home side in the opening T20 and Darren Bravo was the only other impressive batsmen with 30 runs. Dwayne Smith and Kieron Pollard are the match winning batsmen whereas their skipper, Darren Sammy should repeat a fine all round performance. Sunil Narine, Krishmar Santokie and Andre Russel must bowl according to the situation.

Brendon McCullum and Ross Taylor laid the foundation of a solid victory for the Kiwis while Kane Williamson and Jimmy Neesham can score briskly. The senior most bowler of the visitors, Tim Southee, was their supreme bowler in the previous game while Trent Boult and Corey Anderson assisted him nicely.
