Next Saturday, a renewed Bayer Leverkusen will go head-to-head with an extra motivated Borussia Dortmund at BayArena for round 32 of Bundesliga, on a match of paramount importance for both sides' aspirations this season.

Will Jürgen Klopp's Dortmund extend their winning streak against Bayer Leverkusen next Saturday?

After having parted ways with Sami Hyypia three weeks ago, Bayer Leverkusen seem to have been reborn from the ashes. The North Rhine-Westphalia’s side collected two consecutive wins and they seem to have regained their confidence after the nightmarish two-month period the team recently was faced with. Last weekend, Bayer completely trashed Nürnberg 4-1 at Grundig Stadion and managed to keep their closest rivals at bay. Bayer Leverkusen are currently on the 4th place of the table, the last one to offer the teams access to the UEFA Champions League Qualifying round next season, four points behind Schalke 04 and one point ahead of Wolfsburg.

Sasha Lewandowski brought new energy to the team and the players’ concentration and motivational levels seemed to have grown, much thanks to their two consecutive wins and respective pleasant performances.

For next Saturday’s difficult match against Dortmund, Sasha Lewandowski will probably still not be to count on Stefan Reinartz, Robbie Kruse, Sidney Sam, and Andrés Guardado, all sidelined due to injury.

As for Dortmund, that are certainly currently enjoying their best moment so far, next Saturday’s match will also be a tough bone to crack. Jürgen Klopp’s side grabbed another important 4-2 win last weekend at home against Mainz 05, as they banked their fourth consecutive Bundesliga win during their last six matches.

After the upset of being eliminated from the UEFA Champions League, Dortmund continued the good moment they started on that competition’s second leg match against Real Madrid, smashing the current title holders Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena and keeping up with their good run with their last weekend’s win against Mainz 05.

With just three matches until the end of the season, Dortmund will need to win to keep the second place of the table safe and a win on next Saturday’s match will certainly grant them that position on the table.

For the clash against Bayer Leverkusen, Jürgen Klopp will still not be able to count on Weidenfeller, Schmelzer, Subotic, Gundogan, Blaszczykowski, and Bender, as the team’s injury curse continues this season.

When both sides met at Westfalenstadion back in December, the visitors grabbed a fairly impressive 1-0 win, thanks to a goal from the South-Korean forward Son Heung-Min.
