Next Saturday night, Osasuna will entertain a moralized Celta de Vigo at El Sadar for round 36 of Liga BBVA on a match of vital importance for the home side on their never ending quest against relegation.
After last weekend’s heavy defeat at Santiago Bernabéu against Real Madrid, Osasuna have now to concentrate themselves on their next match against Los Celestes and on their battle to stay above the relegation line. Being just two points ahead of Almeria, who are the first team below the relegation line, Osasuna cannot allow any more slipups on the three remaining matches of the season. In a recent interview, the Pamplona side's goalkeeper Andrés Fernández highlighted the importance of winning the next match against Celta de Vigo; otherwise, it will be a lose-lose situation for Osasuna.
For next Saturday’s match, Javi Gracia, who has expressed his loyalty to the club on an interview earlier this week, will not be able to count on Raoul Loé, who will miss the rest of the season due to injury, while Armenteros, Sisi, Nino, and Lolo are in doubt since they are not yet fully fit after their recent injuries.
As for Celta, the Vigo club are enjoying a fairly positive moment at La Liga because of their two consecutive wins and because of the considerable amount of goals they managed to score on those respective matches. Last Monday, Luis Enrique’s side hammered Valladolid at Los Balaídos 4-1 and produced a vintage display that not only motivated the team, it also placed them virtually safe from relegation this term. At the end of the match, the Asturian manager underlined the difficulties Los Celestes faced this season, but he also mentioned that avoiding relegation was a prize for the team that worked hard throughout all the season.
For next Saturday’s match at El Sadar, Luis Enrique will have all his players at his disposal. The young Gabonese midfielder Levy Madinda was crucial for his side’s victory last Monday and he proved to be another good choice by Luis Enrique, who completely revolutionized Celta de Vigo this season as he brought in young and quality players such as Santi Mina, Madinda, and Jonny from the club’s reserve team.
When both sides met at Los Balaídos last December, the match ended in a draw, on what was a very difficult period of the season for Celta de Vigo. Next Saturday’s match will certainly be a close one and although Osasuna might have some advantage for playing at home, one cannot forget how dangerous Celta has proven to be when away from Los Balaídos this season.
