Real Madrid C.F. vs UD Almería Prediction, Preview & Betting Tips

Next Wednesday, 29th of April 2015, the all-powerful Real Madrid will measure forces with a relegation threatened Almeria at the mythical Santiago Bernabeu for round 34 of the Spanish Liga BBVA.

Will Almeria be able to stun Real Madrid next Wednesday?

Real Madrid’s visits to Los Balaídos are never easy and last Sunday night was no different. The current World and European champions might in fact consider themselves very lucky from having left Galicia with the three points, since Celta had enough opportunities to defeat them as they did last season. It were Los Celestes who opened the score after a superb solo effort from the usual suspect Nolito that exposed on his own the immense frailties of Real’s back line. Despite having scored early in the match, Celta’s constant attacking game opened breaches on their usually leaky defence line, something that an experienced team such as Real Madrid exploited almost perfectly. Los Blancos won the clash by 4-2 with two goals from the Mexican forward Javier Hernandez, who was once again the man of match.

The upcoming fixture against Almeria will probably not be as complicated as last Sunday’s match with Celta; nevertheless, Real Madrid need to put up a solid performance in order to avoid a slip-up that could eradicate once and for all their chances of winning La Liga’s title.

As for Almeria, the Andalusia team is not having an easy season so far and they are currently fourth from bottom two points above the relegation zone. Their new manager, the former Barcelona’s left back Sergi Barjuan, has the very complicated task of saving the team from being relegated and, so far, it is fair to say that he is doing good. Two wins and two defeats are Sergi’s record at the helm of the Rojiblancos and last weekend’s win over SD Eibar has probably offered them enough motivation to face the upcoming paramount obstacles.

Regardless of Almeria’s recent improvements, they will certainly not pose any major difficulties to an extremely powerful team, who usually doesn’t show any signs of mercy to their opponents when playing at Santiago Bernabeu.
