Next Tuesday, 1st of March 2016, a rejuvenated UD Las Palmas will measure forces with an extremely fragilized Getafe at Estadio Gran Canaria for Round 27 of the Spanish Liga BBVA.
On a rainy night at Ipurua, Basque Country, UD Las Palmas have not only managed to return to winning ways as well as to control the first-half of their match against SD Eibar.
After several dangerous attempts on goal by Jonathan Viera and Wakaso, the islanders goal arrived from a corner-kick that the Spanish defender Pedro Bigas headed home. The injury time goal motivated the islanders who, thanks to it, clawed their first win away from home so far this season. Quique Setién’s men have already won twice at Ipurua this year after having eliminated SD Eibar from the Copa del Rey back in January.
Next Tuesday’s match against Getafe is of the utmost importance for the islanders, who, in case of win, will change places with the Madrid outskirts’ team at the bottom part of the league table. For that particular match, Quique Setién will not be able to rely on the services of Javi Castellano and Hernan, who are both sidelined due to injury. Sergio Araujo and Nauzet Alemán are currently suspended by the club’s board and will probably miss out there.
As for Getafe, the Azulones have been going through an extremely complicated period after having conceded their sixth consecutive defeat of the season, when they hosted Celta de Vigo at Coliseum Alfonso Pérez last Saturday’s afternoon. The Madrid outskirts’ team is on a very delicate situation and their lack of goals is most certainly worrying their head coach, Fran Escribá. The last time Getafe scored a league goal was more than one month ago when they were defeated at Andaluzia by Granada. The Serbian forward Stefan Scepovic and Moi Gomez netted Getafe’s goals in that 3-2 defeat at Los Cármenes later last month.
For next Tuesday’s vital match at the Canary Islands, Fran Escribá will still not be able to rely on the services of the experienced Uruguayan left back Álvaro Pereira, who remains suspended. Roberto Lago and Carlos Vigaray, who are both recovering from their respective injuries, are still in doubt out there.

UD Las Palmas vs Getafe Match Winner Prediction
Pass
On their last match at Estadio Gran Canaria, Getafe snatched a narrow 1-0 win, but it is not likely that the same thing will happen again next Tuesday night. Despite all the negatives, UD Las Palmas display some very attractive football after Quique Sétien’s arrival and they are slightly favourites out there.
