The skipper of the home side, Mushfiqur Rahim, led his side well by scoring 59 runs in the opening match and Shakib Al Hasan also registered a fifty. Anamul Haque and Mahmudullah assisted them nicely with the bat while Shakib Al Hasan was the main wicket taker and Masharfe Mortaza along with Abdur Razzak will be required to bowl better.

Ajinkya Rahane and Robin Uthappa laid the foundation of the victory by contributing 99 runs for the first wicket and added fifties to their records. Suresh Raina and Ambati Rayudu are in good form whereas Umesh Yadav, Amit Mishra and Parvez Rasool bowled excellently in the previous game.
