Lions received first shock of the Ram Slam T20 Challenge, 2014-15, when they were beaten by Cape Cobras with a difference of 77 runs in their previous game played at Newlands. The latter powered 7-154 in 20 overs and the former was bowled out for 77 mere runs with 27 balls remaining in the game. Titans won their second match of the event when they took a revenge from Dolphins and grasped the encounter by 19 runs. Earlier, the first won their maiden game of the tournament while winning against Lions by 27 runs (D/L method). Both teams will meet again on November 28, 2014, in Potchefstroom and it will be an interesting match to be watched.
Neil McKenzie and Temba Bavuma were the only batsmen of Lions against Cape Cobras who entered the double figures by scoring 31 and 20 runs respectively. Rest of their solid batting line up including Chris Gayle, Alviro Petersena and Jean Symes surrendered cheaply. Their bowling department is well led by Eddie Leie who is getting a valuable support from Lowabo Tsotsobe, Chris Morris and Hardus Viljoen.
Qaasim Adams blasted a match winning 76 off just 53 balls for Titans vs. Dolphins and Henry Davids contributed 32. Theunis de Bruyn has scored quite a few runs in the event whereas Darren Sammy, David Wiese, Ethy Mbhalati and Shaun von Berg are bowling nicely.
