Hashim Amla hammered a classic ton in the first One Day International against Sri Lanka and guided his team to a smooth victory. The composed South African side has taken a vital lead of one game in the three ODI series. The tourists will try to continue with their superb form while the hosts are capable of coming back with force.

Players to watch

Kumar Sangakkara was the only home batsman to score fifty plus runs in the previous match and Tillakaratne Dilshan contributed 40 runs. A big innings is required from the seasoned batsman, Mahela Jayawardene, and Angelo Mathews can play an important role. Ajantha Mendis got three wickets but Lasith Malinga and Nuwan Kulasekara should get back their rhythm.

Hashim Amla smashed another hundred in the limited overs game in Colombo, his skipper AB de Villiers scored 75 and David Miller was solid in the middle order. Jacques Kallis and Jean-Paul Duminy can score useful runs whereas their bowling department is being looked after well by Imran Tahir, Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel.
