The fight for the semi-final spot in on and two good sides of the NetWest t20 Blast, 2014, Surrey and Worcestershire will face each other to confirm their berth in the next phase. Both sides have played 14 pool games and secured 18 points each but the first has won 9 matches as compared to 8 by the latter. The team who plays better on the day will qualify for the top four.
Jason Roy of Surrey is in top form, he has powered 567 runs with seven fifties and Gary Wilson has scored 352. Kevin Pietersen and Tillakaratne Dilshan are contributing useful runs for their team while Azhar Mahmood is one of the leading all-rounders of the event. Gareth Batty, Matt Dunn and Zafar Ansari are bowling excellently.
Ross Whiteley exhibited a match winning unbeaten knock of 84 for Worcestershire vs. Derbyshire in the final pool game. Colin Munro, Richard Oliver and Tom Kohler-Cadmore are their confident batsmen. The world best off spinner, Saeed Ajmal, is unavailable since he is required by Pakistan whereas Chris Russell and Jack Shantry are the lethal bowlers with superb results.
