MS Dhoni marshalled his troops from the front by smashing an unbeaten fifty as India went on to win the second One Day International of the five game series by a margin of 48 runs. The Blue Shirts piled up 7-263 after 50 overs and bowled out the Windies for 215 with 21 balls to spare. The visitors were cruising nicely when they lost their third wicket at 170 but their incoming batsmen were unable to consolidate. The third game will set the tone for rest of the series and both sides will try to take a lead by exhibiting a positive approach.
