Martin Guptill, Tom Latham and Brendon McCullum scored 66, 28 and 42 runs in the previous game and they expect positive innings from Ross Taylor, Corey Anderson and Luke Ronchi. Their balanced bowling attack revolves around Matt Henry, Nathan McCullum, Daniel Vettori, Tim Southee and Mitchell McClenaghan.

Angelo Mathews grasped all three wickets which fell in the third ODI while Nuwan Kulasekara, Sachithra Senanayake, Dhammika Prasad and Thisara Perera are commendable bowlers of the Islanders.
