Barbados Tridents kept their promise by defeating one of the strongest side of the CPL 2014, Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel, by a big margin of 69 runs. They have played eight games, won five, lost three with a run rate of +0.412. Jamaica Tallawahs got a shocking defeat by the minnows, St Loucia Zouks, with a massive difference of seven wickets in the 24th match but the first still remain in the top four with eight points.
Raymon Reifer, Shoaib Malik and Kieron Pollard scored 65, 35 and 34 runs for Barbados Tridents in the previous encounter against T&T Red Steel while Dwayne Smith can win the match at his own. Jason Holder grabbed four wickets in the same match and was declared ‘Player of the match’, Rayad Emrit held four whereas Ravi Rampaul is a match winning bowler.
Chadwick Walton fought well for his 48 runs while representing Jamaica Tallawahs vs. St Loucia Zouks. All other batsmen went back to the pavilion cheaply and the latter registered their second victory of the event. Chris Gayle, Andre Russell and Adam Voges are required to bat smoothly. Jerome Taylor, Andre Russell and Nikita Miller should be more accurate with the ball.
