Jamaica Tallawahs gathered another two points by defeating Antigua Hawksbills by a mammoth margin of seven wickets in the 16th game of the Caribbean Premier League and took their points tally to 8 from 5 matches. Earlier, Guyana Amazon Warriors defeated another tough side of the event, Barbados Tridents, by a narrow margin of 7 runs and climbed to 8 points from 6 encounters. Both winning sides will take each other in the forthcoming game which will be a treat to watch.
The skipper of Jamaica Tallawahs, Chris Gayle remains the top batsman of the side with 278 runs that includes one hundred and 2 fifties. Chadwick Walton is another reasonable one with quite a few runs but their middle order batting is required to click. Jerome Taylor was their ‘Player of the match’ in the last encounter and they can depend on Nikita Miller and Andre Russell.
Lendl Simmons and Martin Guptill laid a sound foundation of 103 runs for their victory in the previous game and both of them ended up with half centuries. Denesh Ramdin is leading Guyana Amazon Warriors from the front with a couple of fifties and Mohammad Hafeez has started blossoming up. Krishmar Santokie is their supreme bowler while Jimmy Neesham and Ronsford Beaton are improving.
