The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, will take off with a match in Pool A, between the two great nations having solid back ground, New Zealand and Sri Lanka. The first managed to reach the semi-final spot in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, where they were beaten by the latter with a margin of five wickets. The Lankan Lions were outplayed by India in the final by a difference of six wickets on April 2, 2011, at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

The situation looks different in the present scenario as the Black Caps have emerged as one of the strongest contenders to lift the forthcoming trophy whereas the Islanders ae struggling on the fast tracks. The Kiwis recently defeated Pakistan 3-2 in the United Arab Emirates and ruled the home series against Sri Lanka 4-2 followed by a clean sweep over the Green Shirts 2-0. Earlier, the Lankan Lions humiliated England 5-2 in the seven match ODI home series but they need to re-equip themselves for the big event where they will take over New Zealand in the opener.

Ross Taylor, Kane Williamson, Grant Elliott and Martin Guptill batted superbly vs. Pakistan while Brendon McCullum, Tom Latham, Corey Anderson and Luke Ronchi are formidable batsmen. The strong batting line-up of the Islanders will revolve around Mahela Jayawardene, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Kumar Sangakkara and Dimuth Karunaratne whereas Angelo Mathews, Lahiru Thirimanne, Thisara Perera and Sachithra Senanayake are fine all-rounders. Their bowling department will be led by Lasith Malinga who will be assisted by Dhammika Prasad, Suranga Lakmal, Nuwan Kulasekara, Jeevan Mendis and Rangana Herath.

  2. I want to back NZ with Rs. 75k. Munna Bhai could you help me out here? Is it safe to just back NZ and bank easy profit or do you see any risk?

    • Gambling is risky, trading is safe. Trade, not Gamble. Back NZ if they are batting first and hedge at interval - this is the safest strategy. If SL are batting first then back NZ at higher odds and assess situation at interval. Always try to take profit as early as possible and exit trading. Never let it go beyond 40 overs in chase.

  3. mbbs bhai where are you with your CWC report? what is your opinion for this match? shall we follow same usual strategy which you always suggest?

    • Didn't get time. Follow my usual strategy. Most of matches will be one sided and predictable in terms of trading and making profit.

  4. free me lelo meri report..
nz ne sl ki waat laga di thi last match me is ground per. sl 218 hi bana saki pahle batting karte hue. nz ne 43 overs me hi chase ker liya target ko.

275+ score wala ground hai yeh. nz pahle batting karke 275 banayegi to sl se chase nahi hoga.
sl pahle batting karke tabhi jeet sakti hai jab who 300 se upper score banaye. 300 se neeche nz aram se chase karlegi. Malinga kuch nahi kar sakta new zealand ka.

one sided match hai, nz pakka jeetegi, bindaas lagao nz per.

Too much of Cricket has been played in Australia & NZ and World Cup Cricket seems to be a boring start. Not to mention these thugs even inserted few warmups for which there was no need as most of the teams have been playing ODI matches somewhere in the world. It's going to be one of the longest lasting World Cup event and larges of it's kind.

Buckle up and get down to business guys why so much fuss?

Kiwis have become one of the most potent team of this World Cup. They had a knack for reaching semi finals and losing out. They will be determined more than ever to break this jinx and reach to the final at least. It's now or never for New Zealand. If they don't win this World cup then they gonna wait for few more decades to assemble such a good team again.

Keeping all these factors in mind Brendon Mccullum and his brothers in arm will kick off ICC World Cup 2015 against a team, Sri Lanka, which they have defated over and over again in recently concluded series.

The most encouraging news for NZ is that Martin Guptill & Ross Taylor fired at last. Add to that already inform batsmen Kane Williamson, Luke Ronchi, Corey Anderson and Captain himself and you get a team which even likes of Australia and South Africa will be wary of.

NZ will have tremendous home advantage as they are expert in whacking balls out of boundaries in these small stadiums which most of opponent find difficult to master.

The only good news for Sri Lanka might be return of Malinga, apart from that they have got nothing new to add. SL have performed well in last 2 versions of World Cup and they are well capable of reaching semi finals. They have a lot of experience in my favourite trios who will play important role throughout the series.

Considering all the factors NZ have 60% of chances to win this match. If Malinga sits in dugout then make it 70%.

NZ odds are 1.50 (50p) which is not too bad. Your strategy should be to back NZ at higher odds if SL is batting first. If NZ is batting first then back NZ with 50% of your bank and keep rest of 50% to back further if odds go up.

================ New Trading Strategy - Scalp Hard Hitting Batsman ==========================
There is one new strategy which I would like to introduce. If I get a chance then I'll elaborate it further on my blog.

This new strategy is scalping ball whackers. In simple terms back the team batting when hard hitting batsman comes to the crease and after 10-15 points lay the team to get instant profit.

NZ is full of these ball whackers and hence they are the best team to apply this strategy.
Brendon Mccullum, Kane Williamson, Luke Ronchi & Corey Anderson are the batsmen. Mccullum opens the innings so back NZ heavily when is batting,. He will never slog and start whacking ball from first ball. 3-4 quick boundaries and odds will slip down by 10 points or more. If he fails then wait for next one and so on till you get desired profit. In worst case if no one fires you still have your backed money on NZ who is favourite to win.

None of SL batsmen are qualified for this strategy.
    ===========================================================================================

In any case assess the situation at interval and if you are in profit then take it and run.

  7. tum log sala sab burbak hai yeh kya prediction aur strategy laga rakha hai seedhe seedhe nz per lagao aur profit banao. apun ke pass itna time nahi hai ye sab magazbazi karne ka.

  8. Someone asked via email
"can it is possible that srilanka come fav in world cup first match against newzealanders"
Yes it is possible, SL is not a weak team and if their batting clicks then it's very much possibility that they will become fav. If SL is batting first then they have to score 300+ in order to be fav. While chasing if they build up good partnership and carry on scoring till 40th over then they can become fav. Since NZ is strongly fav, SL has to work hard to flip the odds in their favour.
