Mumbai Indians gained their confidence by winning two consecutive games at home after losing five away ones. They defeated the mighty Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore and will face another strong unit, Chennai Super Kings, in the next encounter. The latter defeated MI in the 13th match in Dubai but it will be a different ball game altogether since the hosts have their tails up now.
The skipper of MI, Rohit Sharma, got back his rhythm with a match winning unbeaten fifty vs. RCB. Kieron Pollard whereas Ambati Rayudu along with Chidhambaram Gautam are batting nicely. Lasith Malinga, Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh are bowling superbly on the Indian pitches.
Mohit Sharma along with Ravindra Jadeja are the leading bowlers of CSK and Ben Helfenhaus is assisting them in a positive manner. The top order batting failed against KXIP in their previous game but Dwayne Smith, Brendon McCullum, Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni are the formidable batsmen of their squad.
