Queensland has proved their worth in the Matador BBQs One-Day Cup 2014-15, by winning three games, losing two, out of five they played. They have attained 16 points after having a net run rate of +1.429 and are placed at the third position. Tasmania appeared in four matches, surrendered two, grabbed another while one ended without any result and they managed seven points. The upcoming game can put them in the top four whereas Queensland can strengthen their position after winning it.
Usman Khawaja and Chris Hartley shared a mighty opening partnership of 185 runs for Queensland in their previous match against Victoria. They powered 85 and 90 runs respectively, Peter Forrest remained unbeaten for 67, Nathan Reardon registered a fifty and Joe Burns is among runs as well. Ben Cutting, Peter George and Simon Milenko form a deadly fast bowling trio while Luke Feldman is improving.
Jonathan Wells has smashed a ton for Tasmania vs. Victoria in the 6th match of the tournament, Ed Cowans and Evan Gulbis have contributed a few runs while rest of their batsmen are required to boost up. Sam Rainbird is their most successful bowler with nine scalps, Andrew Fekete along with Gulbis and Hamish Kingston are doing fine with the ball.
