Tasmania was beaten badly from Western Australia by a hefty margin of seven wickets in the 8th match of the Matador BBQs One Day Cup. The first will try to reverse the result by winning the 13th game of the event against the same opposition. The latter has played two matches in the tournament, grabbed both and attained 11 points whereas Tasmania appeared in two matches as well succeeded in one and ended up with five points.
Jonathan Wells was the only batsman of Tasmania who entered the double figures by scoring 22 runs vs. Western Australia. Four of their top order batsmen went back to the pavilion for a duck that reflects the poor batting performance. Sam Rainbird has taken seven scalps while Andrew Fekete and Hamish Kingston are among wickets.
None of the Western Australian batsmen has registered a fifty in two matches and they did not even accumulated 50 runs so far. Marcus Harris, Adam Voges, Michael Klinger and Craig Simmons are their prominent batsmen. Joel Paris grasped four wickets in the previous game and was declared ‘Player of the match’ while Jason Behrendorff and Nathan Coulter-Nile are bowling extremely well.
