Cape Cobras exhibited a fine performance in the Ram Slam T20 Challenge, 2013-14, secured 34 points from 10 matches and that was the highest by any team in the event. Dolphins attained 28 points from 10 games but they beat Cape Cobras in the final by a margin of mere two runs on February 9, 2014, at Newlands, Cape Town. Northern Districts forced their way to the main round after winning all three encounters in the qualifying group of the CLT20 and will take over Cape Cobras in the 3rd match.
Hashim Amla was the third highest scorer in the Ram Slam T20 Challenge, 2013-14, whereas Jean-Paul Duminy, Richard Levi, Stiaan van Zyl and Justin Kemp are their solid batsmen. Beuran Hendricks was the top wicket taker in the above event and he will be assisted nicely by Robin Peterson, Vernon Philander along with Duminy.
Kane Williamson, Daniel Flynn, Anton Devcich and BJ Watling are among runs in the CLT20 while Tim Southee, Trent Boult and Scott Styris have proved their match winning bowlers.
