Next Sunday, Almeria will entertain the Galician side Celta de Vigo at Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos for round 34 of Liga BBVA on what will be an extremely important match for both sides on their quest against relegation.

Will Celta's Chilean winger Orellana be able to silence Almeria's supporters as he did back in November?

The home side, Almeria, was severely hammered at Santiago Bernabéu by Real Madrid last Saturday, thus conceding their third defeat in a row and their fourth match without a win. The Andalusian side lowered their weapons and didn’t stand up against Los Blancos and was up to their experienced goalkeeper Esteban to avoid an even more shameful defeat.

For next Sunday’s match against Celta, Francisco Rodríguez’s team will need to put up something very different if they want to defeat a Galician side that has been more efficient when playing away from home than playing at Los Balaídos this season.

At the end of last Saturday’s match, Francisco Rodríguez told the media that what matters now is to defeat Celta de Vigo, thus giving less importance to his side’s miserable display at Madrid.

For the clash against Celta, Almeria’s manager will only not be able to count the Argentinean midfielder Sebastian Dubarbier, who has recently been submitted to a knee surgery.

Last Saturday, Celta de Vigo grabbed an important draw at home against Real Sociedad after playing almost the entire second half with just ten men, since Aurtenetxe was sent off right after the break. Luis Enrique’s side failed once again to win the second consecutive match at home after defeating Sevilla two weeks ago. Los Celestes have only won four times at home so far this season, which may be considered mediocre if we analyse the team’s performances away from home, where they have already obtained six wins.

Celta de Vigo’s recent trips to Andalusia had been extremely positive. The Galician team hammered Málaga 5-0, defeated Real Bétis 2-1, surprised Sevilla with a 1-0 and defeated Granada 2-1. Los Celestes’ statistics at Andalusia offer the team some extra confidence and motivation for next Sunday’s match against Almeria.

For the clash against Almeria, Celta’s head coach Luis Enrique will not be to count on the Basque defender Jon Aurtenetxe, who is suspended, and he is not yet certain if he will be able to count on the Spanish Youth International midfielder Álex López, who is not yet fully recovered from a recent injury.

When both teams went head-to-head at Los Balaídos last November, Celta were superior to the Andalusia side and won the match 3-1, with goals from Orellana, Oubiña and Charles for Los Celestes, and Suso for Almeria. Next Sunday things might be different since Almeria will be playing in front of their fans; however one has to keep in mind forget how dangerous Celta de Vigo has proven to be when playing away from home this season.
