FC Barcelona vs Getafe CF Prediction, Preview & Betting Tips

Next Tuesday, 28th of April 2015, the current league leaders, Barcelona, will entertain Getafe at the emblematic Camp Nou for round 34 of the Spanish Liga BBVA.

At the end of last Saturday’s Catalan derby between Barcelona and Espanyol at Cornella El-Prat, the Blaugranas’ manager, Luis Enrique, claimed that his team’s first-half performance was almost perfect and probably the best they have put up so far this season. The Asturian born head coach is right to make such claims because Barça have really displayed an almost flawless performance during the first 45 minutes of the match. Excellent ball passing and an incredibly effective ball possession rate offered Barcelona full control of the match and prevented Espanyol from disturbing Claudio Bravo for large periods of the clash.

After slamming Paris SG last week and thus granting a place in UEFA Champions League Semi-finals stage, Barcelona showed no signs of fatigue during the Catalan derby against Espanyol. The front trio (Messi, Suarez and Neymar) are definitely enjoying their best moment of the season and have been proving to be of crucial importance for Barça’s recent winning streak. On the other hand, the constant changes Luis Enrique has been operating in the midfield triangle keep allowing the team to maintain a quality game flow, preventing the extreme fatigue levels that struck the team last season.

As for Getafe, the clash against Barça certainly does not come at the best of the times for the Azulones, especially after two consecutive league defeats and a three match row without a single win. Getafe are probably safe from relegation by now, but the truth is that this season has been far from impressive especially after the departure of the Romanian manager Cosmin Contra back in December.

Barcelona are enjoying a fantastic moment and they are firm favourites for next Tuesday’s clash against Getafe that still have not shown enough quality to overcome a strong and well organized team such as Barça.
