SC Bastia play host to defending champions and runaway league leaders Paris Saint-Germain at Stade Armand Cesari this Saturday.

With just 10 points and a goal difference of -2 at the end of Gameweek 9, things do not look good for Ghislain Printant’s side at the moment as they prepare to lock horns with arguably the best PSG side in recent times. Although Bastia have enjoyed a relatively good season at home with three wins and one loss in the 2015-16 Ligue 1 season, getting something out of the games against the champions would be a task too hard for them.

The hosts currently sit 13^th in the league with 10 points on the table and would be hoping to maintain that position knowing that a loss can even push them down to the edge of the relegation zone with result of other games going against them. Printant will be hoping to add extra motivation to his players by encouraging them to get something out of the game against PSG as it will send a strong message to the rest of the teams in the top tier of French football that SC Bastia mean business and they are here to get the job done. The home side will be looking towards their star player and top scorer Floyd Ayite for inspiration against Laurent Blanc’s side. He has managed to find the back of the net just twice this season and both he and the bosses at the clubs would be hoping to see more from him this week.

Paris Saint-Germain however, might have other plans. After strengthening their position at the top of the table with a 2-1 win over rivals, Marseille last week, the cash-laden side from Paris would not want to give other teams in the league a chance to catch them at the top. Despite winning the league comfortably last season, Les Parisiens have strengthened their team in the summer with the signing of Angel di Maria from Manchester United. The likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, di Maria and Cavani can send shivers down the opponents’ players and it would take a lot from SC Bastia to get something out of the game on Saturday.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored twice against Marseille last week and Edison Cavani already has his shooting boots on this season. And with Angel di Maria finally settling in the team, Paris Saint-Germain have become more formidable then they already were and it would be a an easy option to bet on PSG to win the 2015-16 Ligue 1 season with ease.
