Nantes look to move up the league table as they prepare to host a struggling Troyes side at La Beaujoire-Louis Fonteneau this Saturday.

Football Club de Nantes Atlantique are currently 15^th in the league after 8 games in the 2015-16 Ligue 1 season and would be hoping to improve on their table position when they lock horns with ESTAC Troyes in the gameweek 10 of the campaign.  Les Canaris have managed to collect 10 points out of 8 games this season, winning 3 and losing 4 games in the process, while one of their games ended in a draw.

Nantes’ last league game against defending champions, Paris Saint-Germain, was a bit disappointing for the fans and bosses at the club, where despite going in front early in the match, they were thrashed to a 4-1 defeat. An eleventh minute goal from Yacine Bammou gave Nantes the lead against PSG, but the champions responded with style, scoring four goals past them with Zalatan Ibrahimovic, Edison Cavani, Angel di Maria and Serge Aurier, all getting on the score sheet. The disappointing thing from that result for Nantes manager, Michel Der Zakarian, was conceding all goals in the second half. After playing the first half so well and keeping PSG at bay, Les Canaries allowed the reigning Champions to get back into the game and score four goals.

Der Zakarian would not want a repeat of that performance when his side takes on ESTAC Troyes at home this Saturday. And considering the fact that Troyes are the one of the two teams in the league yet to win a game this season, the coach would accept nothing but all three points from Nantes. . The Canarieshowever, ­need some of their players to up their games with the likes of Iloki and Bammou so far failing to show their full potential.

Troyes on the other hand, would love to get their season on track and register their first win of the 2015-16 Ligue 1 campaign. However, looking at their recent form, it would be hard to bet on them getting all three points against Nantes this Saturday. Jean-Marc Furlan’s side are yet to register a win under his tutelage this season, drawing four and losing 5 games at the end of gameweek 9. The coach would like to put the disappointment of recent weeks behind him and would encourage his side to get something out of the game against Nantes on October 17. The major worry for Furlan is his side’s lack of penetration and lack of firepower up front as none of his players has managed to score more than one goal this season.
