Bordeaux look to put their season back on track with a win this Sunday when they play host to a struggling Troyes side at Matmut Atlantique.

Girondins de Bordeaux need a morale boosting win to life their players’ morale and they won’t get a better chance than this. Playing at home against a team which is very low on confidence at the moment and is battling relegation at the moment, Bordeaux need to get their tactics right and anything but all three points would be considered a failure for Willy Sagnol’s side. The hosts are currently in the bottom half of the table at 14^th place with 11 points to their name at the end of gameweek 10.

Les Girondinis have found it hard to secure victories this time around and despite collecting 11 points, they have managed to win just 2 of their games this entire season. Five of their matches have ended with Bordeaux sharing the spoils with their opponents while on three occasions, Willy Sagnol’s side has tasted defeat. Les Girondins are coming in this game on the back of a miserable run of form. They have won just one of their last five games and their last game against Montpellier ended with both teams failing to find the back of the net.

ESTAC Troyes would be looking to get something out of Sunday’s game when they travel to Matmut Atlantique to take on Bordeaux. The visitors are one of the only two sides in the competition, who are yet to register a win this season. After 10 matches in the 2015-16 Ligue 1 season, Troyes are winless and have lost 6 of their games while drawing the remaining four fixtures. They are coming in this game on the back of a disappointing result. Les Troyen were thrashed by FC Nantes last week which was a big blow for the team.

The visitors need to find their rhythm pretty soon if they want to save their season. It is not too late for Troyes but to stay in the top tier of French football, Jean-Marc Furlan’s side need to get back to winning ways sooner rather than later. And they won’t find a better opportunity than the game against Bordeaux, a side also running low on confidence at the moment but might have enough about them to register a much needed win.
