Next Saturday, 17th September 2016, Barcelona will visit the outskirts of Madrid to measure forces with CD Leganés at Estadio Municipal de Butarque for Round 4 of La Liga Santander.

Barcelona are still picking up the pieces after last weekend’s defeat against La Liga newcomers of Deportivo Alavés. The Basque team took advantage from Barcelona’s uninspired night and from the absence of Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez, who started the match on the bench, to build another epic win at Camp Nou (their first win at Catalunya took place 16 years ago).

Luis Enrique is certainly trying to understand what went wrong last Saturday’s night, but he will need to draw some conclusions very quickly since next weekend’s match is of the utmost importance for them. Despite last round’s negatives, Barcelona pulled off a strong reaction in the middle of the week hammering Celtic at Camp Nou 7-0 in their first group match of the UEFA Champions League.

As for CD Leganés, the team from the outskirts of Madrid was also defeated for the first time this season last time out. After a win at Los Balaídos and a home draw against Atlético Madrid, the Pepineros have succumbed at the expenses of Sporting de Gijón at Asturias last weekend. CD Leganés failed to survive to the home side’s solid first-half performance and ended up defeated by 2-1.

Next round’s match against Barcelona will be extremely difficult for Asier Garitano’s men, but if they manage to replicate what they did against Atlético Madrid a couple of weeks ago, they might stand a chance to claw a positive result.

Basque born head coach Asier Garitano will probably have all the players at his disposal for next weekend’s match since there aren’t any names on the team’s injury list for now.
