Next Sunday, 20th of March 2016, a slightly inconsistent Real Madrid will measure forces with a solid and well organized Sevilla at Santiago Bernabéu for Round 30 of the Spanish Liga BBVA.
Real Madrid should consider themselves lucky after clawing a 2-1 win at Estadio Gran Canaria last Sunday night. Los Blancos struggled to overcome Quique Setién’s UD Las Palmas, that continue to display an attractive and well structured game even when facing stronger teams, as happened last weekend.
Zidane’s men score twice from corner kicks, taking advantage from some poor marking skills by the home side back line. A powerful header by Brazilian defensive midfielder Casemiro helped Real Madrid leave the Canary Islands with the three points and clinch their second win in a row away from home.
The upcoming fixture will most certainly not be an easy one for Real Madrid, especially if we have in mind what happened back in November when both teams met at Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán. For that particular match, Zinedine Zidane will not be able to rely on the services of his two most important centre backs, since Pepe and Sergio Ramos are currently suspended.
As for Sevilla, after their spectacular last weekend’s 4-2 win over Villarreal, the Andalusia team booked a place in the next stage of the UEFA Europa League overcoming FC Basel at Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán by 3-0 last Thursday’s night. Two goals by Kevin Gameiro helped Sevilla defeat a mighty Swiss side after their goalless draw from last week.
Last weekend, Sevilla and Villarreal put up a frantic match from which the Andalusia team came out as winners, especially due to a solid second-half performance.
For the extremely difficulty match from next Sunday, Unai Emery will not be able to rely on the services of Ever Banega, who is currently suspended. Yevhen Konoplyanka, Nzonzi and Vitolo, are all sidelined due to injury and they will also miss out there.

Sevilla defeated Real Madrid by 3-2 when both sides met at Andalusia last November and they are certainly willing to cause them another major upset at Bernabéu next Sunday. Despite all negatives, Real Madrid are slight favourites out there.
