Next Sunday, 8th of November 2015, the all-powerful Real Madrid will travel to Andalusia to go head-to-head with Sevilla at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan for Round 11 of the Spanish Liga BBVA.

After granting their seventh win at La Liga last weekend against UD Las Palmas, Real Madrid were once again victorious in their midweek outing with Paris SG at Santiago Bernabéu. The UEFA Champions League was fairly different from the one against UD Las Palmas last Saturday, where Los Merengues controlled almost all the processes in the game. Quique Setien’s men showed great character throughout the entire match, but weren’t able to cope with Real Madrid’s strong start.

On Tuesday, Los Blancos secured a place in the next stage of the UEFA Champions League thanks to a narrow win over the French millionaires, Paris SG. With several players sidelined due to injury, it was Nacho, who came in for Marcelo on minute 33’, that solved the match by scoring Real Madrid’s goal.

Last Tuesday’s match will also be remembered for Cristiano Ronaldo’s friendly and mysterious chat with Paris SG boss Laurent Blanc after the final whistle, which clearly upset Real Madrid’s chairman.

As for Sevilla, things have been going from bad to worst for the current UEFA Europa League holders, who have lost three of their last four matches. In their last outing, the Andalusian side wasn’t able to grant the three points against Manchester City for the UEFA Champions League and they have clearly compromised their chances of proceeding to the next stage of the competition.

The Andalusia team suffered their fourth defeat of the season when they travelled to El Madrigal last weekend and now find themselves in the 11th place of La Liga’s table with just 12 points from 10 matches. An hypothetical defeat against Real Madrid next weekend will certainly leave Unai Emery in deep trouble.

Kevin Gameiro is in doubt for next weekend’s fixture, while Daniel Carriço, Beto and Pareja will surely be out of Unai Emery’s plans due to injury.
