Next Saturday, 5th November 2016, UD Las Palmas will measure forces with SD Eibar at Estadio de Gran Canaria for Round 11 of La Liga Santander.

After losing to Villarreal at El Madrigal two weeks ago, UD Las Palmas have started last Sunday’s match against Celta de Vigo off on the wrong foot. After just 21’ minutes in, the home side was already trailing by 3-0. Before the break, Quique Setién’s men have failed to test Celta’s defence line and did not place more than three shots on goal. After the break, however, things changed drastically and UD Las Palmas pulled off an almost heroic comeback scoring three goals in just 16 minutes. The match ended in a spectacular 3-3 draw and the home side has failed, once again, to return to winning ways after six league matches without clawing the three points.

Spanish midfielder Hernán is currently sidelined with the flu and is in doubt for next Saturday’s match against the Basque team.

As for SD Eibar, the Basque outfit have managed to return to winning ways last Sunday’s morning against Villarreal after two matches without being able to claw the three points. Two late goals by Iván Ramis and Pedro Léon have proved to be enough to secure a 2-1 win over Villarreal.

The home side have showed once again that they are a tough bone to chew, especially when playing at Ipurua Stadium in front of their enthusiastic supporters. SD Eibar, however, tend to struggle when playing away from home and have only managed to claw one win away from Ipurua so far this season, almost two months ago when they visited Granada.

Nano, who is still struggling with a head injury, is in doubt for next weekend’s visit to Gran Canaria.
