Next Sunday, 13th of March 2016, a moralized Real Madrid will travel to the Canary Islands to measure forces with a strong and well organized UD Las Palmas at Estadio Gran Canaria for Round 29 of the Spanish Liga BBVA.
After an extremely complicated win over Levante and a poor overall performance to go along with, Real Madrid pulled ranks and put up a truly display of power in their last weekend’s match against Celta de Vigo at Santiago Bernabéu. Zinedine Zidane’s men have struggled to cope with the Galician team’s excellent organization during the first-half, but a late goal by Pepe just before the break have helped to pave way to a stunning victory.
The usual suspect Cristiano Ronaldo put up a terrific performance netting four of his team’s seven goals and he was once again the one leading Real Madrid to victory after a complicated streak of three matches, where Los Blancos have only managed to win once.
Early this week, Real Madrid have secured a place in the next stage of the UEFA Champions League after overcoming AS Roma at Santiago Bernabéu by 2-0 in the second-leg match of the round of 16. The Spanish powerhouses have certainly set their attentions in this particular competition since it is, in theory, the only one they can win until the end of the current season. For next Sunday’s predictably complicated visit to Estadio Gran Canaria, Zinedine Zidane will probably still not be able to rely on the services of Karim Benzema and Alvaro Arbeloa, who remain sidelined due to injury.
As for UD Las Palmas, the islanders are going through an excellent moment form that allowed them to win three consecutive matches and climb several places in the league table.
After a solid home win over Getafe, Quique Setién’s men have clawed a spectacular and vital win at El Madrigal against the all-powerful Villarreal, who were on a fantastic streak of results until last Saturday. A lonely first-half goal by UD Las Palmas’ captain David Garcia was enough for them to claim the three points out there.
UD Las Palmas are now in the 15th place of La Liga’s table, four points clear of the relegation zone, but a defeat next Sunday, might push them again to a delicate situation. For that particular match, Quique Setién will still not be able to rely on the services of Javi Castellano, Hernan and Wakaso, who remain sidelined due to injury.

UD Las Palmas vs Real Madrid Match Winner Prediction

UD Las Palmas almost caused Barcelona a major upset when the Catalan team visited the Canary Islands later last month and they will certainly give Real Madrid a hard day on the job as well. Los Blancos are slight favourites out there, but if we have in mind their recent performances away from Bernabéu, we must predict that will struggle to claw the three points next Sunday.
