Claudio Ranieri's side continue to show the spirit and character that is needed to become an established Premier League club after once again coming from behind to get a result as they battled back from a 2-0 deficit at Southampton to salvage an injury time equaliser. Jamie Vardy's career continue's to go from strength to strength and his recent Premier League form has earned him a place in the England set up. He scored another brace at the weekend and he is the current top goal scorer in the league with 9 goals, 3 ahead of Sergio Aguero in 2nd place.
Crystal Palace have strangely performed much better on their travels this season with 9 points from 4 games compared to just 6 points from 5 games when playing in front of their own fans. Their home troubles were evident in the 3-1 defeat to West Ham on Saturday where Dwight Gayle's red card did nothing to help their cause and he'll now be missing for the visit to Leicester. It would've been a frustrating afternoon for Alan Pardew regarding the performance but even more so with it against one of his former clubs. It was Palace's best start in the top flight for 25 years.
Palace have lacked a centre forward to lead the line as despite having a lot of attacking threat out in the wide positions, they don't have anyone to finish off the chances they create. Yohann Cabaye is their top scorer in the league with 4 goals. That is in comparison with their next opponents who as discussed have the Premier League's top goal scorer amongst their artillery and he'll be eager to extend his scoring run to 7 matches in a row.
Leicester have lost just once this season and sit in 5th but are only 1 point ahead of Palace. Palace did the double over them last year with 1 and 2-0 victories but Leicester are much improved this season under Ranieri and they'll be cautious heading to the Midlands. Pardew will be without Dwight Gayle after he picked up two yellow cards against West Ham and adds to the list of unavailable forwards with Marouane Chamakh and Connor Wickham also out. The 2nd half introduction of Nathan Dyer and Riyad Mahrez sufficiently turned the game in favour of Leicester and Ranieri is likely to start both players against Crystal Palace.
